Why live in Red Mill, Virginia Beach?

Friday, August 28, 2009

Red Mill is central to many fun places of interest, not to mention military bases.  Virtually  minutes to Dam Neck, Oceana, Camping, the Ocean Front, First Landing State Park, Ocean Breeze Water Park, & The Virginia Marine Science Museum, all the Golf Courses & Virginia Beach’s 249 fun-filled Parks.

The subdivision of Red Mill itself has over 1800 homes.  The land was originally sold to the builder in 1976.  The first home sold in 1980 for $85,687 at just over 2000 square feet.  The most recent home sold 4/09 for 328,000 and it was just over 2100 square feet.

Currently there are 21 active homes on the market and 40 under contract or sold (closed).  In the last six months, 5 listings expired, or did not sell.  The average price per square foot for expired listings was $158.  The average for sold homes was $152.
