What does Bellamy Manor in Virginia Beach VA have to offer?

 August 5, 2009

Bellamy Manor in Kempsville, Virginia Beach is a great place to live.  First, the schools.  They is Kempsville Elementary School, Kempsville Middle School, and Kempsville High School.  (Check out www.greatschools.net to learn about different schools ANYWHERE)  Also, it is a very quiet, well kept neighborhood.

The homes are mostly all brick, on crawls, and on bigger lots than the newer homes going up today.  So what kind of home can you get in Bellamy Manor and what is the price tag?  On average, it is about 300,000 to get in the neighborhood.  That will get you a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2000 square foot home.  The low is about $250K and the high $350K at 5 bedrooms, 2 baths and 2800 square feet.

In this neighborhood you are minutes from the Kempsville Recreation Center which offers classes for almost everything. It runs a little under $70 a year to be a member.  Compare that to the YMCA!  Also, the Kempsville Library is being renovated and in the neighborhood!  You will also find the Police Department.  Across Kempsville Road, there is a Food Lion, Kroger, TJ Maxx, Tuesday Morning, salons, restaurants, Blockbuster, plus much more.

Centrally located, Bellamy Manor is @ 20 minutes to Little Creek Base, NOB, Oceana Air Station, Portsmouth Naval Base, Trashmoore Part, Lynnhaven Mall, MacArthur Mall, the Oceanfront, First Landing State Park, Ocean Breeze, the Marine Science Museum, plus much more.   From here you can be at Busch Gardens in about an hour.

Currently, there are 2 homes for sale.  One is almost 2600 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bath with a FROG and sun room at $331,000. Very nice floor plan. The other is almost 1800 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths at 300,000. Another one is going on the market tomorrow at $219,900.  It won't last long.  I also think the 2600 square foot home is priced well and should sell fast. There are others in the Bellamy Manor division, but the elementary is Providence not Kempsville.  Both are on Greatschools.net

There are several subdivisions to choose from in Virginia Beach.  Where do you want to live and why?  What is most important to you: Location? Price? Land? Schools?  Best Deal?
